Events Happening In and Around Milwaukee
Milwaukee's dog community is very active. There's always an event to attend or an organization to support. Sniff out these activities:
Animal Carnival Friends of Nature of Menomonee Falls, Main Street and Pilgrim Road, is sponsoring the Animal Carnival on Saturday, June 28 from 10am-3pm. Many local rescue groups will be on hand. Home Again Micro Chips, along with Wisconsin Adopt A Golden Retriever, will be there to chip your pet for a small fee.
Stop the Pulling! A Lesson in Loose Leash Walking
Does your dog take YOU for a walk? Are you tired of being embarrassed in front of the neighbors due to your dog’s lack of good walking manners? If so, sign up for this workshop on Saturday, June 28 from 9:00am-10:00am. There is a $20.00 fee and a limit of 8 dogs for this session, so register early.
Canine Good Citizen Test Is your dog ready to show off his etiquette? The Canine Good Citizen test is a ten-part test developed by the American Kennel Club. It stresses responsible guardianship and the importance of a well-mannered dog. If Fido passes, he can obtain official certification from the AKC. Register early for the “Canine Good Citizen Test,” held on Sunday, June 29 from 12:30pm-2:30pm. There is a $10.00 fee. An additional $5.00 fee must be sent to the American Kennel Club to obtain the certificate, once your dog passes the test.
Wisconsin Adopt a Golden Retriever Golf Outing
